Response to "Ultimate Therapy: Commercial Eugenics in the 21st Century"

I believe that using the technology we have to prevent potentially devastating diseases is the best way the technology should be used. If we can go in and take out a gene that causes breast cancer, then I think we should. I do not agree with customizing children though. I do not think that parents should be allowed to pick and choose certain characteristics of their children in order to fulfill their ideal child. I believe we are trying to create perfect human beings by doing this and that will never be possible. I think a parent should be happy and loving toward their children regardless of their appearance or how much intellect they have.
